How is WAKA different?
When you play WAKA Kickball, you aren't just signing up to play a recreational sport. By joining WAKA you are joining a complete social network. We play together, party together and even help out charities. Our league sponsor bars are packed with kickballers after our game nights not just with one or two teams, but the whole league. If your team wins your local league you can get an opportunity to play in Las Vegas at the Founders Cup (aka Kickball World Championships) that you can only get by playing WAKA Kickball.
Registration fees differ per league (depending on such factors as location, requirement for permitted fields, etc.). If you would like to help direct your league funds please consider joining the league volunteer committees – contact your league if you would like to help out. The fee includes money given back to the league, and covers many aspects of the fun close-knit social kickball experience including items listed below.
• WAKA team kickball t-shirt for each participant
• All kickball equipment - bags, balls, bases, cones, scorebooks, first aid kits, pumps and needles
• All regular season games and league tournament games
• Specials and/or significant discounts at the league restaurant/bar (on and off season)
• Customized online registration process
• Various forms of insurance to protect volunteer leaders
• Personalized player cards
• Stickers and Decals
• Funds for the league parties and awards (often including various parties throughout the season as well as charity events)
• League web page hosting
• WAKA operating and legal costs including credit card merchant fees
• Inclusion as a player in the World Kickball Organization
• A world recognized rules committee (WAKA is the International Governing body of Kickball)
Want to help promote WAKA?
What makes WAKA Kickball even more fun? More cool kickballers. A kickball league is only as much fun as the people who are in it. So why not get all of your friends and co-workers to sign up and join you in the good times. We've put a couple of items together to help you help us.
Besides talking to all of your friends about how great kickball is going to be, you can also hang a flier up at your local laundromat, office break-room, apartment complex message board or anywhere else you can think of where you can post fliers. You might even want to try to get a group from work together to play. Maybe talk to your office HR department and see if your company might want to sponsor a team.
