DOGTOWN VS. WESTSIDE??
Dogtown is a VETERAN League. This means there will be NO scheduled day for Rules Clinic/Scrimmage.
Westside is a FUN League. There WILL be a Rules Clinic/Scrimmage day.
IF I can secure the fields according to plan, Dogtown will play at the same time and on the same field as Westside. HOWEVER, they will be treated as separate leagues and have separate playoffs, with one crowed winner per league.
At the bar, Dogtown teams and Westside teams will compete TOGETHER as one super league for Bar Games. There will be only ONE crowed champion team for both leagues who will win the $100 Bar Tab at EOS.
Since (to date) I have been unable to finalize fielding with the park, registration is only open to Dogtown and will NOT open to Westside until everything else is sorted. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
This season we will be partying at
PUMP (Permanent Umpire) PROGRAM
In an effort to make the Dogtown Ref Program as painless and as enjoyable as possible, Dogtown has a new and improved PUMP Program.
We are looking for EXPERIENCED players who KNOW the rules, aren't afraid to enforce a strict game, AND who want to make a difference in this league! If you are interested in becoming a PUMP for the Dogtown Winter 2013 Season, please email me. All PUMP candidates are required to take a WAKA Rules Quiz and pass with a score of 90% or higher. This season, all PUMP's must receive nominations/recommendations for individual players representing at least 3 different teams.
ALL captains will be required to nominate 4 players who they feel know the rules and would like to ref their games. Captains will also be able to request PUMPs to ref the more "heated" games on their schedules.
If you are selected to be a PUMP, you can earn a FREE season of Kickball registration. More information will be sent out to those interested.

WAKA Tournaments 2013: Founders Cup, Regionals, and The Fun Games
WAKA holds two annual Kickball Tournaments each October in Las Vegas:
- The Founders Cup World Kickball Championship, an exclusive invitation-only showdown of the best teams in the nation.
- The Fun Games, a freewheeling tournament of fun, open to ALL current WAKA players.
Starting in 2013, WAKA is introducing Regional Rounds of the Founders Cup, a new Tournament opportunity open to ALL current WAKA players (and a new way for teams to qualify for the Founders Cup Championship Rounds in Las Vegas. (Dates and Locations for all Regionals TBA.)
All three tournaments feature cash prizes and a unique experience only WAKA can bring you.
WAKA Tournament Eligibility for CA Dogtown - Winter 2013:
- All players registered for this season are eligible to participate in The Fun Games tournament in Las Vegas.
- All players registered for this season are eligible to participate in the Regional Rounds of the Founders Cup.
- Both the Champion and Runner-Up teams of this Season's League Tournament will be eligible (though not guaranteed) to receive an invitation to the Founders Cup championship tournament in Las Vegas.
