The Ocean league plays on Saturday afternoons on the multipurpose fields at Mills Pond park located near downtown Ft Lauderdale. Games times rotate weekly with 3:30 & 4:30pm start times.

You can join as an Individual Player, Group of Friends or a Corporate Team. Players must be 21 years of age by the scheduled 1st week of games to join.

The league plays 7 regular season games followed by a single elimination tournament. This league is non-competitive & only allows underhand pitching. After the games, the entire league gathers at our official league bar, "Dicey Rileys" for more fun and a free buffet.

WAKA Social Sports members enjoy many benefits when joining our leagues. You will receive generous discounts at our sponsor bars and venues. WAKA players are provided with WAKA logo team shirts that are yours to keep. You will also receive invites to exclusive parties. All players will be eligible to play in WAKA's regional tournaments and participate in the "fun games" at the national “Founders Cup Tournament" in Las Vegas in October.

Miscellaneous Information:
- Player shirts will be handed out before the games on week 1.
- The season schedule will be posted approx 1 week before our first games.
- The schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather and  factors beyond our control.
- We recommend all players read the game rules prior to the start of the season.
- Cleats are recommended but they are not required. No metal cleats are allowed.

May 1st - June 6th
General registration period (will close earlier if the spots are all taken.)

June 7th
Late registration opens of spots are still available, a late fee applies.

July 6- weeks 1 & 2 double header, player shirts handed out.
July 13th- week 3
July 20th - week 4
July 27th - week 5
August 3rd - week 6
August 10th - week 7
August 17th - Tournament Day starting at 3pm
August 24th - Rain makeup week if needed.

Standings Criteria: 1) Most Points (Win = 1 point ** Tie = 1/2 point) 2) Winner of head to head game 3) Most wins 4) Least runs against 5) Least runs against not including game 1 Note - PF stands for Paper Forfeit and results in a 3/4 point deduction

WAKA Tournaments 2013: Founders Cup, Regionals, and The Fun Games

WAKA holds two annual Kickball Tournaments each October in Las Vegas:

  • The Founders Cup World Kickball Championship, an exclusive invitation-only showdown of the best teams in the nation.
  • The Fun Games, a freewheeling tournament of fun, open to ALL current WAKA players.

Starting in 2013, WAKA is introducing Regional Rounds of the Founders Cup, a new Tournament opportunity open to ALL current WAKA players (and a new way for teams to qualify for the Founders Cup Championship Rounds in Las Vegas. (Dates and Locations for all Regionals TBA.)

All three tournaments feature cash prizes and a unique experience only WAKA can bring you.

WAKA Tournament Eligibility for FL Ocean - Summer 2012:

  • All players registered for this season are eligible to participate in The Fun Games tournament in Las Vegas.
  • All players registered for this season are eligible to participate in the Regional Rounds of the Founders Cup.
  • This League is for Social play only - teams may NOT qualify for a Founders Cup invitation via this League. For other Leagues in your area, check here.
