Fall 2017 Details

CLUBWAKA’s Fall Durham sand volleyball league starts on Aug 13. Every Sunday (except Labor Day Weekend), games will be played at 5 pm at Solite Park, located in the South Durham area.

• Season Dates: Aug 13- Oct 8
• Times: 5 or 6 pm each week 
• Price: $55-$75 per player
• Format is 6 vs. 6
• Each match/ game consists of 5 sets (4 set to 21, 1 set to 15)
• Games will end after 50 minutes
• Team roster is 10 players min, 15 players max
• Must have at least 2 of each gender on the court at all times. 
• Registration deadline is Aug 10 for full teams; free agents can register up until Aug 20
• Don't have a full team?  No worries. You can sign up with a team, a small friend group, or a free agent.  We will place you or your group on an existing team that needs players.  CLUBWAKA Volleyball is a great way to get your friends and co-workers together or to just meet new people!
• 6 week season (includes playoffs/tournament)
• All players will be invited to CLUBWAKA regional parties during the season free beer for all registered players!

Game / On Court Rules

• Maximum of 6 players on the court per team per game (6 vs. 6)
• Must have at least 2 players of each gender on the court for an official game
• We will use standard rotating rules, so if you have more than 4 people who show on any given night, they will just rotate in after each side-out.
• Games to 21 pts. (games 1-4) 15 (game 5).  Matches will consist of 5 games that will each count separately in the standings.

Key Dates

• June 13: Registration Opens
• Aug 20: Opening Day/Game 1
• Oct 8: End of season playoff tournament
• Games that are rained out may be rescheduled for a different day and time
