SC Coastal will be back next Summer!
Why should you play with WAKA? Charleston leagues play 8 regular season games and tournament games. Teams have the opportunity to qualify for Founders Cup, the annual national tournament in LAS VEGAS! New equipment provided each season and replaced as needed during the season. Official rules and league organization from the governing body of kickball. We have a secure online registration system-no need to mail payments in. Join as a small group (as small as two players) or as a full team of 26! Mid and end of season parties with free food and beer! There are no forfeit fines just a good ole party budget for all to enjoy! Official WAKA team t-shirt (16 teams colors to pick from!!!) Weekly party after games with other players at our league bar Post game specials on food at beer at the bar. Opportunity to meet, socialize, and network with hundreds of local area adults. Charity activities every season. Yes you can slide...it is kickball afterall! Official WAKA player cards. No annual membership fees. We do kickball!

The SC Coastal league plays 8 regular season games plus playoff games. All teams will then play in a single elimination in the league tournament. The team that wins the tournament will be invited to play in WAKA's National Founders Cup Tournament in Las Vegas on Columbus day weekend. Click here for more on Founder's Cup .

Founders Cup Eligibility
- Both the Champion and Runner-Up of this Season's League Tournament will be eligible to receive an invitation to the Founders Cup World Kickball Championship in Las Vegas. The year of eligibility is determined by the completion date of the League Tournament, according to the World Championship Guidelines (2012 Edition coming early 2012). Eligible teams are not guaranteed to receive invitations.
- All players are also eligible to participate in the Kickball Games social tournament.

HEAD REFEREE PROGRAM
We will continue the Head Referee Program in the Spring 2010 season. The program has lead to better officiating and understanding of the rules by our Head Referees and therefore has kept the games as fair as possible.
Each team will be required to nominate a MINUMUM of one player to participate in our Head Referee Program (more than one nominee is welcome). Interested players may also submit their information on their own. We are looking for experienced players that are familiar with the rules and comfortable making calls on the fields. However, we understand that there are newer teams and players with less experience. These nominees/aplicants are also welcome assuming they are comfortable with officiating in general, training will be provided. It is recommended that Head Referees not be the team captain, but this is not a requirement.
Each Head Referee will officiate between 4 and 6 games throughout the season and games in the league tournament. Head Referees will be offered a minimum of 50% of their registration fee and as much as the full registration fee as compensation for officiating games throughout the season.
Head Referee nominations are due to the league leadership by Monday, March 1, 2010 and should include the following information: Name, Team, Shirt Size, # Seasons Played and a few sentences about why the individual would be a good referee/why they are interested in participating in the HR program.
Head Referees will be required to attend a training meeting before on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at 6:00p.
