WAKA is not just a place to play kickball but a place to have FUN! We will have three social events throughout the season for everyone to get together, get to know each other better, and have a blast!
Theme nights are highly encouraged because there is nothing more awesome than costumes and kickball!!

Pre Season Party - January 9th

Every team will be required to have at least one designated head referee on their team.
This person will be the head referee for all games that the team is scheduled to line referee. This person will be required to attend a rules clinic to learn the rules of the game and will receive 2 free drinks at the bar for every game they referee. If this person is not able to head referee their appointed game, they are expected to replace themselves with someone with comparable expertise. Any team that does not provide an adequate head referee will be charged a paper forfeit in the standings for every occurence. 2 paper forfeits equal a game forfeit and 3 game forfeits will ban your team from playoffs. ALL TEAMS ARE SUBJECT TO THIS RULE, including new teams.

Alcohol is not permitted on Plano Recreation fields. Failure to abide by this rule may result in a teams ejection from the league!!!

WAKA Tournaments 2013: Founders Cup, Regionals, and The Fun Games
WAKA holds two annual Kickball Tournaments each October in Las Vegas:
- The Founders Cup World Kickball Championship, an exclusive invitation-only showdown of the best teams in the nation.
- The Fun Games, a freewheeling tournament of fun, open to ALL current WAKA players.
Starting in 2013, WAKA is introducing Regional Rounds of the Founders Cup, a new Tournament opportunity open to ALL current WAKA players (and a new way for teams to qualify for the Founders Cup Championship Rounds in Las Vegas. (Dates and Locations for all Regionals TBA.)
All three tournaments feature cash prizes and a unique experience only WAKA can bring you.
WAKA Tournament Eligibility for TX Tornado - Fall 2012:
- All players registered for this season are eligible to participate in The Fun Games tournament in Las Vegas.
- All players registered for this season are eligible to participate in the Regional Rounds of the Founders Cup.
- Both the Champion and Runner-Up teams of this Season's League Tournament will be eligible (though not guaranteed) to receive an invitation to the Founders Cup championship tournament in Las Vegas.
