About WAKA WV Jewel City Kickball:
WAKA brought the first kickball league in West Virginia to Huntington during the Spring of 2009. In it's first season, over 80 players took part. WV Jewel City finished it's Spring 2010 season on August 8th with nearly 150 players. The demand for kickball in Huntington has allowed WAKA to expand the WV Jewel City division by having a Fall season in 2010 that will start Sept. 14th. Sign up, have some fun and meet tons of new friends with WAKA Kickball!
**FREE PICK-UP GAMES**
Not sure if kickball is for you? Come try it out for FREE at these pick-up games. Both weeks will be played at the Veteran's Memorial Field House (Woody Williams Field)
Tuesday August 31st at 6:30pm
You can sign up as a team or a free agent. If you sign up as a free agent then you'll be placed on a team.
What You Get:
*Official WAKA Shirt/Jersey
*TWO Fully funded parties -- including alcohol. (Mid/Post Season)
*All field fee's paid for the full season, including playoffs -- Field Lighting is provided.
*All equipment fee's paid (bases, cones, balls, rulebooks, etc.)
*Limited on field insurance.
*Discount at official bar/restaurant (TBA for Fall Season)
*WAKA membership
It breaks down to just over $5 per week!

The WV Jewel City Fall 2010 division is now registering! Sign up for our mailing list for a notification when registration opens for future seasons.
Division winners will have the opportunity to advance to the WAKA Founders Cup Tournament in Las Vegas, NV next year.
This years Founders Cup Tournament will be the weekend of October 8th - 10th in Las Vegas!! Teams must have won their division by August 13, 2010 to qualify for the 2010 tournament. Team Bag Tag is currently awaiting an invitation to represent WV Jewel City in the 2010 tournament.

Don’t Just Kick the Ball, Be the Ball!
With the help and guidance of your local WAKA Representative, the Division's Board of Directors plans the division's day-to-day operations, manages the division budget, and plans at least 2 division parties per season.
Whatever your talent or interest, the Board can use your help! Do you like planning events with other people's money? Want to help with the Division newsletter or website? Have some ideas for charity fundraisers? Are you rules-minded and want to keep division referees on the same page? Or do you just like getting together with other cool people to create something silly and wonderful? Contact us to volunteer!

Founders Cup 2009
The 2009 WAKA Founders Cup World Kickball Championship will be held in Las Vegas. It’s time to embrace those dreams of being a World Kickball Champion! The Founders Cup will feature a weekend full of fun, nail-biting kickball games, and social events exclusive to WAKA players.
