Thank you for Kicking It during WAKA week in the Kick-it Challenge!  The 1st week of the “I’m Kicking-It” campaign kicked off in true WAKA fashion with posts featuring pets, weight lifters, founders, WAKA Batman and of course kickball fields and balls! 

Congratulations to the official winner of the Jeff Gordon Pick of the week… Fabian Pugliese! Thanks also go out to Shana Schwarz for posting Fabian’s pic. Fabian will receive a WAKA kickball autographed by Jeff Gordon.

Connecticut kickballers make front page for charity efforts

The group of Connecticut WAKA Kickball players working to raise tens of thousands of dollars for children's cancer research, while attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the longest kickball game, have made the front page of the hometown paper. You can support the cause with a donation to children's cancer charity Kick-It. Nearly $20,000 has been raised already and the game will be held March 30 through April 1, 2012. For more information and to make a donation, please visit the CT Ivy event page on Kick-It.org.

Guinness World Record for longest kickball game

A group of WAKA players in Naugatuck, Connecticut are out to break the Guinness World Record for longest kickball game and raise money for a great cause at the same time.

WAKA kickball to receive Playworks' Most Valuable Community Partner Award!

We are excited to announce that this week, WAKA is being honored with Playworks' Most Valuable Community Partner Award!

Fundraisers planned for Albuquerque’s NM Mesa and NM Sandia leagues

The NM Mesa and NM Sandia leagues of Albuquerque have a goal of donating $2500 to the Road Runner Food Bank this Thanksgiving. The league has already raised $2,000 and will be working to raise the rest before their end of season tournament on Nov 19th when they hope to present a check to Road Runner Food Bank staff.  

 

CA Crown League Raises Hundreds of Dollars for Uninsured Youths in Pasadena

WAKA players in the CA Crown league in Pasadena have shown their generosity this season by hosting “Most Charitable Team” contest in support of Young & Healthy. Young & Healthy is a non profit health care program that helps unisured, youth get access to medical and dental care.

Kick-it Challenge at World Kickball Championship Weekend 2011

 

For the second year, WAKA is challenging players in the Founders Cup World Kickball Championship and The Kickball Games to raise funds and support for kids with cancer through the Kick-it Challenge
