2010 Founders Cup XIII
World Kickball Championship Tournament
(Notice - Information listed here relates to the 2010 tournament only and does not necessarily apply to any other or future tournaments.)
Tournament Format
64 teams playing in pool play. Pool play leaders advance to a 32 team single elimination bracket. Purpose: to have fun and win all your games to be World Kickball Champion!
Eligibility [revised 4/15/2010]
By popular demand, WAKA has made several changes to the Founders Cup invitation process, including:
- Division Tournament champions and runners-up will be ranked and invited by a Tournament Selection Committee;
- The only game statistics the Committee may use to determine invitation ranking will come from the Division Tournament games such as Division Tournament runs allowed and Division Tournament runs scored (regular season game statistics will not be considered in invitation ranking);
- There will only be as many teams invited as there are spots available (invited teams then have 48 hours to accept) - so no more getting up at dawn to stake your claim in the great Founders Cup “Land Rush” of years past!

Registration Fee
Various team packages will be available, the basic package includes field and tournament admission, and round-trip transportation between the field and host hotel on game day. The basic team package is $750 payable by any one person on the team. (This averages to only $50 per player with a 15-person team!) Teams receive pool play games and afterward, half of the original 64 teams advance to the single elimination games. A portion of the proceeds from this registration fee will be donated to a children-based charity to be announced soon. (This is the first year WAKA has put registration fees in place for this event. It is unfortunate, but is necessary to help cover part of the over $150,000 event costs WAKA typically incurs to put this on for everyone.)
Prize Package
The 2010 World Kickball Champions will receive a prize package valued in the thousands. More details to come soon.
Past Founders Cup Tournament Players Speak Out:
"I loved the flip cup tournament. And getting into the clubs for free was really great because it's not something I normally would have paid for, but it was a total Vegas experience. I also LOVED the Platinum and would stay there again."
