CLUBWAKA Happenings: Space Camp Recap

It was so awesome to host our first-ever adult Space Camp at NASA's U.S. Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama last weekend!

The adventures began in Nashville, Tennessee where we met up with the 50+ CLUBWAKA campers for a day of sightseeing, and an Aliens vs Cowboys Pub Crawl through the historic downtown. From there, we boarded a party bus to the space center, where campers were treated to a weekend of training exercises, classes, missions, and simulations - from building and launching rockets to completing a mission to the moon.

As with any good CLUBWAKA event, the costumes were plentiful, and at the end of camp, we awarded Joseph Hunchuck (CLUBWAKA member from Orlando, FL) a prize for “Best Dressed” - he had a costume for every single mission during the weekend. We also want to give a shout out to Team Breaking Balls (Albuquerque, NM) for winning the Team Mission Challenge, Team Ballz Deep in Space (Las Vegas, NV) for taking home the prize for Most Fun Team, and team Muggle World Order (Las Vegas, NV) for winning the “Most Outstanding Team at camp” award.

Check out some of our favorite photos from the weekend and join us on our next vacation
