WAKA Co-Founder Johnny Lehane Joins SSIA Executive Committee

WAKA Kickball & Social Sports today announced that Johnny LeHane, WAKA co-founder, CIO and Director of Partner Relations, has been elected to the Sport & Social Industry Association Executive Committee. The SSIA represents more than 100 established Sport and Social organizations internationally and aims to bring these organizations together to communicate about leading trends, technologies, and best practices.

Johnny LeHane co-founded WAKA Kickball & Social Sports in 1998 and has helped it become one of the world’s most successful kickball and social sports companies with thousands of players around the country and leagues and events in more than 35 states. Johnny has served as a mentor for WAKA’s franchisees, entrepreneurs in the Inc Military Entrepreneur mentor program, as well as a handful of Hudson Valley and upstate New York startups.

“Johnny is a pioneer in the social sport industry and has worn every hat in this organization,” said Sarah Nelson, WAKA’s Marketing Projects Manager. “We are excited he is joining the SSIA Executive Committee and believe his experience, especially in Sponsorships and building a national business across both developed and emerging markets, will be extremely valuable as we work with other clubs and continue to grow social sports around the world.”
