Here’s What Your Kicking Style Says About You

You can tell a lot about someone’s personality by the way they approach a kickball. From thoughtful and strategic to forceful and commanding, determine your signature kicking style then read on to see what it says about you:

1. Power leg: You're confident and self assured and kick the first ball thrown at you as hard as you can. It doesn't matter what the pitch looks like, you believe in yourself and can do what it takes to get the ball out of the infield.

2. In-it-for-the-full-count: You're in no hurry and take your time to assess situations before making decisions. Your patience will make the pitcher earn the play. You’ve been waiting for this game all week and took a nap after work to ensure you make the most of your time at the plate tonight.

3. Three times a foul: You hide your enthusiasm for sprinting the bases by fouling off the first three pitches waiting for the angle to be "just so." Some might call you a perfectionist but hey, you like what you like.

4. Baseline Bunter: Using a variety of foot placement techniques, you’ve perfected the baseline bunt. You are calculated and analytical and know how to lay the bunt down first or third to set your team up for runs.

5. Pop-up to pitcher: A genuinely nice and enthusiastic person who likes to have a good time. You want to be involved in the game but you'd rather be chatting with your teammates on the sideline. Usually involves a little shrug after the kick - so what if they caught you out?

6. Kick and Run: You’re spontaneous and fun and will not take direction from coaches or team captain. Sometimes you feel like kicking left, sometimes right… you just kick the ball and dive, slide, or do whatever it takes to get on base. That’s the name of the game.
