Kick for Mental Health Tournament in Kingston

The Kick for Mental Health Tournament was the hottest community event in the Hudson Valley last weekend. WAKA players from the NY Fire League and WAKA Co-Founder Johnny LeHane volunteered to coordinate the tournament which raised more than $15,500 for the Benedictine Health Foundation and Adolescent Mental Health Services.

More than 180 people played kickball and competed in for prizes in challenge categories like best t-shirt design, furthest kick, and best team spirit! Teams were made up of players of all ages from the Kingston High School cheerleaders to WAKA Kickball & Social Sports players. The weather was perfect and everyone had a great time for a great cause! There’s not much more you could ask for.

"It was a great event, and nice to work with such a talented group of organizers and volunteers" said Johnny LeHane. "It was truly a pleasure to introduce WAKA's highly social and fun brand of kickball to this community while raising money for this amazing cause!"
