WAKA's Spring Charity Partners

Every season, each WAKA sports league chooses and supports a charity partner. So far this year, players have raised and donated more than $50,000 and worked with some amazing organizations around the world. These causes are dear to our hearts and we want to share some information with you about their missions so you can get involved too.

Playworks - Playworks is a national nonprofit organization that supports learning by providing safe, healthy and inclusive play and physical activity to low-income schools at recess and throughout the entire school day.  Playworks currently serves more than 130,000 students around the US.

Bone Marrow Foundation - The Bone Marrow Foundation supports patients and their families during bone marrow, stem cell, or cord blood transplants. They financial assistance for donor searches, compatibility testing, bone marrow or stem cell collection, cord blood banking, medications, medical equipment, home and child care services, housing, transportation and other patient needs.

Bikes Not Bombs - Bikes Not Bombs collects used bicycles and parts and sends them to economic development projects in the Caribbean, Africa, and Latin America.

Shared Hope International - Shared Hope International offers programs enhance awareness of modern day sexual slavery and we build international alliances to combat sex trafficking.
