WAKA Kickball Volunteers Raise More than $10,000 at Weekend Charity Events

Creating happy communities of people has always been one of WAKA's top priorities. From team fundraisers to league wide events, WAKA members work hard every season to give back to the communities in which they play.

We're excited to share that over the weekend, WAKA members in Virginia and Massachusettes mobilized to help with two significant fundraising events and together raised more than $10,000.

In Hampton Roads, WAKA teams organized the WAKA Kicks Cancer Charity Kickball Tournament hosted in partnership with the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. The tournament brought hundreds of families to Briarfield Park for the day and participants raised more than $4,000.

In Worcester, more than 100 WAKA volunteers helped to host the Diamond is the Sky 6K race and raised more than $6,000 for Autism Behavioral Services.

As the impact of WAKA's fundraising efforts continues to grow, it’s exciting to see the difference this money can make to the organizations who receive it. To learn more about the WAKA Cares and to find a kickball league near you, sign up here!
