WAKA Summer Camp Raises $6,000 for The Harold Robinson Foundation

At the end of our epic WAKA Summer Camp in California, we welcomed David Moss from The Harold Robinson Foundation for dinner and a chance to share summer camp stories through the lens of the people who know it best.

To kick off the evening, David shared the HRF’s mission to provide the funding and resources to send Los Angeles's less fortunate children to camp, in a safe and nurturing environment, far away from the stress that most of them face on a daily basis. Then, he showed a short video about the Canyon Creek Retreat Center, the campers, and families who benefit from their work.

WAKA campers were so touched that they began an impromptu fundraiser and collected more than $6,100 in 45 minutes! Their generous donations will send more than 50 kids to camp this summer. It was really amazing! Check out the videos from the night and join us on our next adventure
