Field Policies

Please read the following park rules carefully. They will be strictly enforced.

The PAL Fields are run by the Police Athletic League of Tampa so we need to pay close attention to their rules to ensure we will have fields to play on for the season.

Concessions:
PAL has a new concession stand and they will be selling items such as hotdogs, hamburgers, grilled chicken sandwiches, sports drinks and other items at very reasonable prices. Take a look at the menu to see what is available. Please do not bring your own food and support the PAL charity by purchasing items at their concession stand.

Pets:
Pets are not allowed on PAL property. Please make plans to keep your pets at home.

Beverages:
Alcoholic beverage containers should not be seen on the PAL fields at any time.
Glass bottles of any kind or similar bottles with metal bottle caps are not allowed on the fields. Anyone found with glass bottles will have the bottles confiscated, will be asked to leave the fields and will be suspended for one week and their team will take a forfeit.
Funnels, Kegs and Party Balls or similar items are not allowed on the fields.

Keep your beverages in coolers, not shopping bags. You are encouraged to keep all sports drink beverages in bubba kegs or thermos bottles. Clear colored or see through cups are not allowed, please purchase solid colored solo cups.

Anyone in violation of the beverage policy may be asked to leave the premises and their team will be forced to take a paper forfeit to penalize them in the standings.

Trash:
All trash must be picked up before you leave the field. Nothing is to be left in the trash barrels. We may utilize the dumpsters behind the softball backstop.

Rest Rooms:
There is a men’s room and a ladies room in the concession stand. Please use them and not the bushes.

Parking:
PAL will charge $1 per vehicle to park each night, however season parking passes will be available at the concession stand at a discounted rate.

We can park on the grass area surrounding our fields but please watch your speed, especially when the ground is soft. This parking area is not available for our players to tear up the grass.

There will be a PAL employee on site to ensure that the field policies are being enforced. Please be respectful of the fields and towards your teammates. The last thing we want to do is lose our fields and not have anywhere to play kickball.

Rainout Line:
WAKA maintains a rainout line for the leagues in Tampa. 813-785-9744
If there is no message, assume that the games are to be played as scheduled.

We do play in the rain as long as the fields are not too soft. If there is lightning we will postpone the games for 15 minutes or until the lightning passes.
