Summer 2015 Fun Rules

Week 2
Backwards Bases. Run the bases in reverse order: third base is now first base, and first base is third base. If you run the wrong direction, you must tag up properly (i.e., no running across the field). If you don't tag up you will be called out, a la the baseline rule.
Drink-in-Hand: You must have have a drink in your hand at all times while you are on the field of play. It does not have to be alcohol, just a drink. You cannot put the drink down to make plays. If you are caught on defense without a drink, you have to sit out the rest of the inning on defense. If you are caught on offense (kicking or baserunning only) without a drink in hand, you will be called out. The rule will be enforced only while the ball is in play (i.e., from the time the pitcher begins the pitching motion until the play is dead).

Week 4
Ladies Night. Only females in the pitching, catching, first base, and third base positions. No bunting is allowed. A bunt will be defined as any ball that does not roll past the first-third base line only if it is not touched by a fielder before it comes to a full stop.

Week 6
Encroachment No Mas. Crasher (or shortstop) must be a girl. Crasher, catcher and pitcher may encroach as soon as ball is pitched. No encroachment rule applies.

Week 8
Small Ball. The game will be played with a 8.5 inch youth size kickball. There are no pitching restrictions not already defined in the rules.
Dodgeball. If the fielder attempts to red hot a runner and the runner can safely catch the ball, the runner is safe at the intended base. The fielder who attempted to tag the runner must take the bench for the remainder of the inning and the defense plays down one player. When the ball is caught by a runner, the play ends. Runners may not catch the ball after they have safely reached the base.
