League Policies

<ul><li class="rteleft">Teams must consist of a&nbsp;<strong>MINIMUM of 16&nbsp;players</strong>&nbsp;and a&nbsp;<strong>MINIMUM of 6 women</strong>. Groups that do not meet these minimum requirements by August 25th&nbsp;will be combined with other groups and free agents at the discretion of the league manager.</li><li class="rteleft">The season schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather or other factors beyond our control.</li><li class="rteleft">Teams will be divided into two divisions based on the average rankings of the teams by each team captain. The top 8 teams will compete in the Capital division for Founders Cup eligibility and the league trophy, the bottom 10 teams will compete in the Music division for a bar tab and bubble wands. There will be no scheduling overlap between divisions during the regular season or the playoffs.</li><li class="rteleft">All players are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the&nbsp;<a href="http://www.kickball.com/files/KICKBALL_OFFICIAL_RULES_2012.pdf" target="_blank">RULES</a>&nbsp;before play.</li><li class="rteleft">Paper forfeits will be assessed for violations of park policies. This means if anyone on your team is observed drinking alcohol, smoking, or&nbsp;allowing their dogs off-leash&nbsp;your team will be assessed a paper forfeit.</li><li class="rteleft">Each player may only register for one team in TX Live.</li><li class="rteleft">Cleats are recommended but by no means required. Metal cleats are prohibited. Closed toed shoes must be worn during play.</li><li class="rteleft">Substitutions of players not on the roster are not permitted.</li><li class="rteleft">No sliding feet-first at first base under any circumstances. A runner sliding into first base will be called out and ejected from the game. Head first slides attempting to avoid a throw from behind are permitted.</li><li class="rteleft">In the Music conference only, the following rule applies.&nbsp;<em>Obstruction: It is the defender&rsquo;s obligation to not obstruct the runner, either in the base path or on a base. This includes standing directly on a base waiting for a throw. You should have part of your foot on the base and the rest of your body in a direction that isn&rsquo;t on the base path. If trying to catch a throw would take you into the path of a nearby runner, don&rsquo;t do it.&nbsp;<strong>Any collision of this nature should be avoided at all costs and will result in the runner being called safe if it does.</strong></em></li><li class="rteleft">TX Live is about having fun playing a children&#39;s game, and as such there is a zero tolerance policy for fighting. Any physical altercation&nbsp;will result in the immediate ejection of all parties involved. Altercations in which punches are thrown will result in a 2 game suspension. Repeat offenses and extreme altercations&nbsp;will be evaluated on a case by case basis and may&nbsp;result in removal from the season of play without a refund.</li></ul><div class="rtecenter"><a href="http://www.kickball.com/txlive"><strong>TX Live Home</strong></a></div>
