League Tournament

The tournament rules and guidelines will be strictly enforced by WAKA and the league board so please read carefully.

The higher ranked team from the regular season always has the choice of home or away.

If the league uses conferences, the winners of the 2 conferences are always seeded 1 & 2 regardless of the actual final standings.

All teams must be ready to play 10 minutes prior to game time for check in. There will be random checks of rosters. Players are required to have official government ID and must be on the team’s official roster. Captains need to have current printed rosters on hand. Unregistered players will result in an automatic forfeit of your game and captains will loose the right to pick or captain a team in the future. You must have at least 4 male and 4 female players ready to play at the scheduled start time. There will be no deal making. If you do not have enough players you will use the following format. Teams will wait 5 minutes for the missing players; your team loses an inning of kicking. If after 10 minutes your team is not ready to play you lose 2 innings of kicking. At 15 minutes the game is a forfeit. Game length is 5 innings. If called and the game has not finished it reverts back to the last full inning. You may not start a new inning past the 55 minute mark. There are no extra innings allowed in rounds 1 & 2. Games that are tied after regulation innings or 1 hour - (which ever comes first) will participate in an “Accuracy Kick” competition to determine the winner; more on that below. If your team does not send 1 experienced player to referee games as per the tournament schedule, you will not be allowed to be captain of a team in any future WAKA seasons. WAKA DOES NOT TOLERATE ANY UNSPORTSMANLIKE-LIKE CONDUCT – YOU WILL BE REMOVED & NOT ALLOWED TO REGISTER AGAIN.* If your team or guests violate the beverage rules, ie beverage cans, boxes or bottles at the field you will forfeit the game!

Ref Schedule (Example...Game times may not be correct for your season):

* If you play at 3:15pm - send 1 ref to the same field at 4:10pm

* If you play at 4:10pm - send 1 ref to the same field at 3:15pm

Accuracy Kick Tie Break Rules for round 1:

Each team will designate 1 kicker
Each kicker will get 1 practice kick
The higher ranked team will choose if they want to kick first or 2nd
The ball will be placed on home plate. The kicker will kick it towards 2nd base.
Who’s ever ball ends up closet to 2nd base wins the game (the ball can go past 2nd)

Tie Break Format for round 2:

If still tied up to 2 extra innings will be allowed up until the 60 minute mark and played as follows.

Place the last kicker from the previous inning on 2nd base
The fielding team will place 4 males and 4 females only on the field
If still tied after 2 extra innings (current inning will be allowed to complete) or 60 minutes the accuracy kick will be used to determine the winner.
