Dogtown is a league for everyone regardless of skill level or competitiveness.  Sign up and start at team, a small group, or sign up solo.  We will do our best to find the perfect spot for you and your friends. Don't miss out on another exciting season of kickball action, parties, all things social and so much more!

Team Deadline (2 weeks before start):  All Teams with a minimum of 18 players on their roster and a minimum of 8 per gender by this date will not be given any Free Agents.  

Team Registration Ends (1 week before start): Registration will be password protected and NO NEW TEAMS will be allowed after this date. Any players registered after this date will be considered a Free Agent and will be placed on a team at the Community Coordinator’s discretion based on roster sizes and gender ratios. Register before this date to ensure you get a spot on your team of choice.  

Why all the changes? These new deadlines are being put in place all across SoCal to allow us to deliver the BEST to YOU. That includes more time to have T-shirts & League Schedules to you in a timely manner! By encouraging our teams to get signed up early, it will not only save you money, but will give us a better idea on where the league stands before it's too late. It gives us the extra time needed to recruit rookies and free agents to help make all of our leagues full and fun. It's definitely going to take some getting used to, but in time it will be second nature! Trust me, we don't want ANY of you paying the highest price! We just want you to sign up EARLY!

  • If you want to play on the same team as your friends, make sure one of you 'creates a friend group' and everyone registers on that group (otherwise, you will end up elsewhere and we will not be able to switch later).
  • Starting a friend group does not guarantee you a team spot. Once a group reaches 16 players (8 of each gender), it will be upgraded to full team status.
  • If you are a smaller friend group and/or don't have enough players to make a full team, we will combine the smaller groups and/or add free agents to each friend group to form full teams.
  • When friend groups are combined, the group leader with the largest number of registered players will become captain.
  • When combining friend groups, I will do my best to make all teams even in numbers and guy/girl ratio.
  • Once you are an official team, captains will be able to select their team name and team shirt color.


  • There are NO refunds.
  • Credit cards charged at time of registration. 
  • Captains - make sure to read the Captains Responsibilities link on the website (next to the standings link) before creating your team. By creating your team you acknowledge you've read the captains responsibilities and will uphold them.
  • If you are an individual, don't worry, just register as an individual and you will be placed on a team.

PUMP (Permanent Umpire) PROGRAM

In an effort to make the Dogtown Ref Program as painless and as enjoyable as possible, Dogtown has a new and improved PUMP Program.

We are looking for EXPERIENCED players who KNOW the rules, aren't afraid to enforce a strict game, AND who want to make a difference in this league! If you are interested in becoming a PUMP for the Dogtown Winter 2013 Season, please email me. All PUMP candidates are required to take a WAKA Rules Quiz and pass with a score of 90% or higher. This season, all PUMP's must receive nominations/recommendations for individual players representing at least 3 different teams. 

ALL captains will be required to nominate 4 players who they feel know the rules and would like to ref their games. Captains will also be able to request PUMPs to ref the more "heated" games on their schedules. 

If you are selected to be a PUMP, you can earn a FREE season of Kickball registration. More information will be sent out to those interested.
