Key Info

  • Price: $65.
  • 6 week regular season starting June 20th, 2018!
  • Games are Wednesday evenings, 6PM and 7PM.
  • All teams make the playoffs on August 15th.
  • Team rosters must consist of 4 males, 4 females, 10 total players minimum, 15 players maximum.
  • 7 players on the field at one time (typically 5 guys, 2 girls)
  • Don't have a full team? No worries. You can sign up as team, a small friend group, or a free agent! We will place you or your group on an existing team that needs players. CLUBWAKA Ultimate Frisbee is a great way to get your friends and co-workers together or to just meet new people!
  • What if I don't have any Ultimate Frisbee skills? Doesn't matter. This is a social league built on FUN! Some even say the "post-game" at the bar is more important than the games themselves!

**You must meet all three team minimums (# of total players, # of females, # of males) BEFORE the league becomes password protected to ensure free agents are NOT added to your team. If you do NOT meet the three requirements, the coordinator can and will add free agents/friend groups to your team in order to meet the league requirements.**

Key Game Rules

  • Games are to 15 points, or 50 minutes, whichever comes first. 
  • The disc must be thrown not handed off. 
  • You have 10 seconds to throw the disc.

Are you a captain or aspiring captain wondering about how to start a team? First you want to register yourself, then start a "friend group". Your friend group will become a team* after registration closes (*assuming you have enough players signed up). If you don't have enough players signed up by the deadline, it's not a big deal, we will add a small group or free agents you to your team to make a full roster!

Small Groups

Do you have a group of friends (anywhere from 2-10 players) who would like to sign up and play on the same team together? No problem!  What you want to do is register and start a 'friend group'. After registration closes, your friend group will be merged with another friend group(s) or free agents to make a full team.

Free Agents

Plan on going solo? Perfect. Nearly 50 percent of the players in CLUBWAKA leagues first started as free agents or small friend groups. That's how easy it is to meet new people and make new friends. So don't worry - go ahead and sign up and we'll be sure to check with you to put you on a fun team that's a perfect fit for you!

Corporate Teams

Thinking your company would be interested in sponsoring a whole squad for a good team-building/networking activity? No problem. When you register, you'll see an option for you to pay for any number of individuals. Then you'll get an email with coupon codes which you can pass out to your players when they register. Summer 2018

  • April 29: Registration Opens.
  • May 29: Price increases to $65.
  • June 1: Registration deadline for Teams and Bar-logo T-shirt (unless league sells out sooner).
  • June 2: All spring leagues party! Details coming soon!
  • June 12: Registration deadline to have shirt by Week 1 (unless leagues sells out sooner).
  • June 20: First week of Regular Season!
  • July 4: No Games - 4th of July!
  • July 14: All summer leagues party! Join the Facebook event!
  • Aug 1: Regular Season Ends.
  • Aug 8: First week of all teams playoffs!
  • Aug 15: Second week of playoffs!

Second place gets a $50 bar to to Russian Lady!

Social points are coming to Ultimate this summer!
There are three ways to earn points.
1. Redemption flip cup! Who you play on the field is who you'll face off against at the bar! 5v5 and you play 5 games. Scores must be emailed to mklinck@kickball.com by noon on Thursday otherwise both teams get 0s. Since it's 5 games total (not best of 5) score will be 5-0, 4-1, 3-2. We may add some twists, like connect four flip cup or T-rex flip cup. If you don't know what the later is, check it out!
2. Team photos. Make sure to snap a photo of your team at the bar each week and also email it to mklinck@kickball.com. I may add in an extra point for teams that send creative points. Two requirements are to ensure all teammates CLUBWAKA shirts can be seen and that there is something to show your photo was taken at Rocking Horse, Russian Lady or The Tavern.
3. Theme week participation!
  • Week 1: New to Ultimate or have new teammates on your team? Wear name tags to help learn each other's names! (It also helps me!)
  • Week 2: World Cup edition! Coordinate with your team and represent one of the country's in the World Cup!
  • Week 3: Take a creative team photo at our sponsor bar and send it to Melanie. We'll post it on our CLUBWAKA CT Facebook and the top 3 photos with likes by 7PM on 7/14 will get the points! (Make sure you like our page)
  • Week 4: Orange puff balls toss - Sounds interesting right? It'll be epic so make sure to check out my recap email after Week 3's games for more details. I promise you don't want to miss this!
  • Week 5: No challenge.
  • Week 6: School supply collection! We did such a great job last year and it made the day of the employees that work with the underprivileged in Hartford so we'll be collecting school supplies again to donate!
  • Week 7: Trivia questions. Stay tuned to the weekly email for more information!

Top three teams will receive bonus social points for that week. Each packaged item will be counted as one item. Here's a list for what they're looking for:

Where We Play

This season our games will be played at Colt Park in Hartford, CT @ 6PM and 7PM on Wednesday nights. The best way to find the fields we play on at Colt Park is to GPS:

(You'll want to park at 222 Huyshope Ave, Hartford, CT 06114 because that is the entrance to the lot across from where we play. See map below)

One thing to note: Everyone wears their kickball shirt to the bar afterwards. Trust me if you change your shirt you will feel out of place! Don't be that guy (or gal).

Miscellaneous Information

  • Majority of players shirts will be handed out week 1, before the first games. If you registered up to 72 hours prior to the season, you'll get your shirt week 2.
  • The season schedule will be posted approximately 1 week before our first games.
  • The season schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather and other factors beyond our control.
  • We highly recommend all players read the game rules prior to the start of the season.
  • Cleats are recommended but they are not required. No metal cleats are allowed.
